Grythyttan manufactures furniture with equal parts craftsmanship, thoughtfulness and attention to materials. The result is timeless furniture that ages well and keeps both tough and endures the ravages of time.
Grythyttan Steel Furniture is a family business starting with Arthur Lindqvist’s, a blacksmith, who changed Grythyttan from horseshoe producers to furniture manufacturers. Lindqvist bent the first chair in the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, and began production of a whole series of garden furniture.
Form and function have always characterized Grythyttan Steel Furniture and its history is closely linked to Swedish furniture history. Cultural heritage is managed and developed with pride. To this day, Grythyttan, still stands in the backdrop of the picturesque Bergslagen countryside.
